Dense Packing or Ultra Dense Packing in hair transplant surgery are techniques used to create optimal density.  These techniques create maximum density for patients and until recently not attainable.   PAI Medical achieves optimal density by using Multi-Unit Hair Grafting with Dense Packing.

While dense packing limits the size of the area being transplanted because the hairs are being placed closer together, it comes closer to achieving fullness.

Candidacy for Dense Packing: Some patients are not candidates for dense packing.  Smokers, diabetics and older patients are sometimes not good candidates for dense packing because of limited capillary activity below the surface of the skin. All Hair Transplants are guaranteed to grow following the operation, provided that the patient followed all pre and postoperative instructions.

If certain hairs failed to grow and the patient has met these conditions, PAI Medical Group of Nashville will re-transplant the missing hairs free of charge during a subsequent session.

To ensure these conditions are met, it is highly recommended that the patient follow a postoperative treatment program, not only to reinforce the newly transplanted hairs but also to help maintain the original ones.
