I recommend getting the pain prescription! It was pretty sensitive to the touch until I got my stitches out. It's been 3 weeks now and there is no real pain but a little sensitive in some areas. Top of my head is still numb but I can feel it slowly going away. The local anesthesia felt like a sting and a couple of times I winced a little but it's no big deal. After the anesthesia was in though, no pain at all. I mean NONE. I just talked to the staff about different stuff, then read and listed to music. Reading was a little difficult because they gave me a calming drug earlier. I will likely need another procedure down the road and I have no concerns about doing it again so that should tell you that the pain was not too bad. When I had mine, I slept the firs 45 minutes or so and watched a movie the remaining few hours. It really isn't a big deal. I had a friend who had it done and he said his tattoo was much worse. Can't wait to have them removed. Also, having a stiff neck is an issue so I would buy a U shape pillow before have the transplants done. This will help sleeping a lot easy on both you and your neck.
