It depends…. typically we transplant hair from the donor area on the back of the head to the thinning areas. Can you send pictures of the area that is bothering you to Michael@WeGrowHair.com and I’ll let you know my thoughts.

I have exceptional growth everywhere except for in the chin area of my beard, which is blond and thin. The hair on my scalp is also thin and blond, while my beard is very thick, curly and more of a dark red. If I were to transplant from the scalp I believe it would not solve the issue and may look fake. Is it possible to migrate hair from under the beard area?

Sorry, not sure of one in that area. Ck you local listings on Google and then: see how long they’ve been practicing, ck with the BBB, and try and meet a few of their patients if possible. Lots of web site pictures also are helpful. Study them carefully and compare to other well respected clinics. Sometimes you may have to leave your area to find the right fit.
